As always, we pray that all is well.
Thanks to those of you who participated in the 72nd Annual LDLM Family Reunion (Virtual Style). If you missed it, OMGoodness you missed a treat! Like our cousin Harriet Walton stated on her FB page, we are 72-0. Our record hasn’t been broken, even though we didn’t meet in a traditional fashion. Counting the number of devices that logged on and the number of family members who shared device screens, we had 100 participants! Kudos to you family!!
A huge thanks to ALL of the program participants and to those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, making sure that we could remain technically connected. A special thank you also goes to Wilhemina Burwell for sharing her “unlimited” Zoom account, which allowed us to spend good quality time with each other, without being concerned about the time. This virtual reunion could not have been a success without you all. Family teamwork makes the dreamwork.
Since Saturday’s virtual reunion, a few family members have inquired if additional shirts can be ordered. The answer to that question is “YES”. The original t-shirt order link is still active on the website. The DEADLINE to order shirts will be August 3rd. Please note, this will be the FINAL opportunity to order shirts. Also, when you place your order, please make certain you include shipping cost if you live outside of the Huntsville, Madison and Decatur area. CashApp is the preferred payment method, but payments can be mailed or dropped off(see t-shirt order link for details). For those who may live in close proximity to each other, you can have all shirts shipped to one address to save on shipping cost.
Additionally, we would like to remind everyone that donations for the East Cemetery would be greatly appreciated. Normally donations are received during the family reunion, but since COVID-19 dictated otherwise, a donation wasn’t collected. Donations of any amount can be mailed or dropped off to:
4901 Blue Haven Drive
Huntsville, AL 35810
Last but not least, please remember in prayer our family members who are experiencing health challenges.
Well this is all for now. We love you guys. Be blessed. Stay safe!
